Timber Ridge at Talus Becomes First Washington State Community to Launch Social-Ability’s Award-Winning Happiness Program
Timber Ridge at Talus is proud to announce its partnership with Social-Ability, bringing the award-winning Happiness Program to its residents. This innovative, interactive technology is designed to create joyful, meaningful moments for older adults, particularly those living with cognitive and physical challenges.
Timber Ridge at Talus becomes the first senior living community in Washington State to implement the award-winning Happiness Program, joining nine other LCS communities nationwide in offering Social-Ability’s interactive light therapy technology.
The Happiness Program is now active in the following LCS communities:
- Cypress Village, Jacksonville, Florida
- South Port Square, Port Charlotte, Florida (two systems)
- Freedom Village at Brandywine, Coatesville, Pennsylvania
- Freedom Village of Bradenton, Bradenton, Florida
- Clarendale Six Corners, Chicago, Illinois
- The Forum at Rancho San Antonio, Cupertino, California
- Timber Ridge at Talus, Issaquah, Washington
- Lake Port Square, Leesburg, Florida (two systems)
- Freedom Plaza, Sun City Center, Florida (three systems)
- Freedom Square of Seminole, Florida (three systems)
“LCS has a strong reputation for quality and innovation in senior living,” said John Ramsay, Founder of Social-Ability. “Seeing the Happiness Program embraced across such a diverse range of communities shows a shared commitment to connection, dignity, and everyday joy.”
Through this partnership, Timber Ridge at Talus is using the Happiness Program to deliver inclusive, person-centered experiences that spark conversation, encourage reminiscence, and create shared joy. The system is simple for staff to use while offering adaptable content that supports group activities, one-to-one engagement, and bedside experiences.
“We are excited to partner with Social-Ability to bring the Happiness Program to Timber Ridge at Talus—the first community in Washington State to do so,” said Heather Turner, Executive Director of Timber Ridge at Talus. “This innovative, interactive technology creates joyful and meaningful moments for our residents—especially those living with cognitive and physical challenges—while also supporting our team in delivering more personalized, engaging care. It’s another way our community is enhancing well-being, connection, and implementing cutting-edge technology to increase the quality of life of our residents.”
LCS teams are using the platform to enhance programming across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing environments. The visual, interactive nature of the Happiness Program helps residents engage regardless of cognitive or physical ability, making it particularly valuable for those who may otherwise be at risk of isolation.
The expansion within LCS builds on Social-Ability’s growing presence across North America, where its technology is increasingly recognized for supporting emotional wellbeing, social connection, and compassionate care in senior living and healthcare settings.
