Meet Heather Turner – Timber Ridge’s Executive Director

Many find their passion early on in life, but only a few are lucky enough to pursue a career in it. This is true for Timber Ridge Executive Director, Heather Turner. She focuses on leading the Life Plan Community that provides an exciting way of life for senior individuals who are independent and active.

Heather is from a small town in Iowa with a close-knit family. She has especially fond memories of her grandparents and would spend extensive amounts of time with them and knew early on, that she wanted to pursue a career in working with seniors. Growing up, she appreciated the connection she shared and what they had done to pave the road for future generations.

She has known since high school that she wanted to pursue a career in health care and was always fascinated with the business aspect of the industry. From there, she went on to earn both a health care administration degree and management entrepreneurship degree. She then earned a master’s degree and upon graduation, began working with Life Care Services.

Through a family acquaintance, Heather found LCS and was very excited about the opportunity to work with seniors to provide a quality lifestyle for enjoying living life to the fullest in a resort-like community.

Prior to Timber Ridge, she worked at life plan communities and assisted living facilities in Connecticut, New York and Maine that all gave her more exposure to the industry. Heather says she loves being a part of the LCS family, and particularly appreciates their commitment to the residents and the employees who serve the communities.

As Executive Director, Heather ensures resident satisfaction and remains active within the Timber Ridge community.

“I am inspired daily by the residents we care for, and our employees who have the same level of commitment and compassion,” Heather said. “Each day that we are able to impact a life or put a smile on a resident’s face, reinforces the appreciation I have for this opportunity.”
